About Us
Our Doctors
Our doctors are all Plastic, Hand and Reconstructive Surgeons on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. They completed their training in the UK and undertook subspecialist fellowship training at internationally recognised centres of excellence worldwide. They hold substantive appointments in the NHS and are full members of the learned national societies including the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and British Society for Surgery of the Hand. They are active in research and postgraduate surgical training, meaning they will offer a well-informed and evidence-based but personalised management plan for you. Most importantly, they are dedicated, skilled and pride themselves on their shared sense of responsibility.

My ethos is to deliver the best and safest evidence-based care tailored to you. This may be surgical or non-surgical. The main aim is to help you get on with your life as quickly and as well as possible.
As a surgeon, I am privileged to have completed specialist Plastic and Reconstructive surgical training in the Oxford Deanery followed by subspecialist fellowship training in Reconstructive Microsurgery as an Overseas Scholar at the world-renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. This comprehensive training has provided me with the skillset to deal with common as well as complex problems. Prior to this, I completed a DPhil (PhD) at Oxford University as a Senior Scholar and my medical degree at Cambridge University.
I think it is important to be in a position to offer the best and safest, evidence-based treatments. My involvement in research allows me to do this. As a Clinical Lecturer Oxford University and previous Fellow at Cochrane UK, I continue to published regularly in medical journals as well as the standard plastic surgery textbooks. I have also contributed to national guidance on traumatic limb reconstruction. Over the years, I have held awards and grants from institutions including the Wellcome Trust, Academy of Medical Sciences, Royal College of Surgeons of England, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and BAPRAS.
I also feel the best way to improve is to train others. Hence, I serve as a GMC-recognised trainer and member of the Education and Training Committee of the British Society of Surgery for the Hand. I also interview for National Selection for entry into Higher Specialty Training in Plastic Surgery in the UK. I serve as peer-reviewer for reconstructive plastic surgery journals, run a national microsurgery training course for postgraduate surgical trainees, present at national and international conferences and host ‘Stoke Mandeville Plastics’, a popular webinar series for plastic surgeons worldwide , focusing on cutting edge Plastic Reconstructive Surgery.
Outside surgery, I enjoy spending time with my family and playing the violin.
I am a full member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, British Society of Surgery for the Hand and British Medical Association.
